Preprint: Differences in layer-specific activation of the insula during interoceptive vs. exteroceptive attention

We use layer fMRI to study the effect of interoceptive attention in the insula. We find a bilateral activation in the dorsal mid-insula during interoceptive attention. The activity difference is stronger in upper than in lower cortical layers.

Steps of Bayesian Workflow for Generative Modeling in Computational Psychiatry

Bayesian Workflow for Generative Modeling in Computational Psychiatry

We extend response models of the Hierarchical Gaussian Filter (HGF) to multivariate data types to model empirical data from a speed-incentivised associative reward learning task. This illustrates the application of a Bayesian Workflow in Computational Psychiatry.

Trextment expectations allow to predict treatment outcome after injections against low back pain.

Individual treatment expectations predict clinical outcome after lumbar injections against low back pain

We study the relationship between expectations about treatment outcome and the outcome of lumbar injections against low back bain. We can predict pain intensity 2 weeks after treatment based on treatment expectations.

Advances in spiral fMRI: A high-resolution study with single-shot acquisition

This work reports the first fMRI study at 7T with high-resolution spiral readout gradient waveforms. We achieve spiral fMRI with sub-millimeter resolution (0.8 mm, FOV 230 mm), acquired in a single shot (36 slices in 3.3 s).

TAPAS: An Open-Source Software Package for Translational Neuromodeling and Computational Psychiatry

In this paper, we present the Translational Algorithms for Psychiatry-Advancing Science (TAPAS) software package, an open-source collection of building blocks for computational assays in psychiatry.
